उच्चाश्रितसौम्यदशा ज्ञानधनैश्वर्यसम्पदं कुरुते। लिपिलेख्यकाव्यनिरतो नीतिज्ञो निर्जितारिपक्षश्च॥११॥
During the Dasa of Mercury when he is in his exaltation, the person will acquire more knowledge, wealth, etc. He will be engaged in writing works, and become learned, and he will overpower his enemies.

मूलत्रिकोणभागेषूद्यत्सु दशा बुधस्य विख्यातम्। कुरुते विदेशसक्तं स्वगुणबलाभ्यां धनं लभते॥१२॥
When Mercury has attained his Moolatrikona, and his Dasa is in progress, the person concerned becomes famous in a foreign place and he will get wealth through his good qualities and personal exertion.

क्षेत्रांशकस्थितदशा कन्यायां सोमजस्य विकलाङ्गम्। जनयति च बन्धुवैरं सुखपशुधनवर्जितं जनयेत्॥१३॥
In the Dasa of Mercury when he is occupying his own Rasi or Navamsa, the person concerned will lose a limb; there will arise enmity with his relations; and he will be deprived of happiness, cattle and wealth.

सप्तमराशौ बौध्यां वाग्मी विकलेक्षणो न शान्तमतिः। शिल्पादिकर्मकुशलो विपण्यजीवी गजाश्वदुःखकरः॥१४॥
When Mercuty occupies sign Tula and his Dasa is in progress, the person born will become an orator; his eyes will become impaired and he will have no peace. He will become clever in mechanical arts and will be earning by trading in stalls. He will become unhappy through elephants and horses.

कीटे सौम्यदशायामादानरतोऽल्पसन्तुष्टः। प्रेष्याङ्गनानुरक्तो स्वगृहश्रमसंयुतो दरिद्रश्च॥१५॥
In the Dasa of Mercury when he is posited in Vrischika, the native concerned will be eager to receive anything (from others) and will be satisfied with what little he may get. He will be addicted to a servantmaid, will be burdened with the management of his own household and become miserable.
