In the Dasa of Mercury when he is posited in Makara, the person concerned will incur debts, will be intent in attending to other people's work, dwell-ing in other countries, will always be on his legs, attached to low people; and troubled through illusion.

When Mercury occupies Kumbha and his Dasa is ripening, the native will suffer loss of energy, will be moderate in his diet and moneyless. He will be worried by his relations, will be cursed with a bad wife and spending his time in foreign places.

When Mercury is in Meena and his Dasa is in progess, the native will be engaged in the exposition of the Vedas and will be commended by all. His mind will be bent on doing virtuous acts and he will thus become the chief friend of the people.

He will live through agriculture, humble in his means, be weak in constitution, and plunged in disease. He will live in others' houses.
