आदित्यपूर्वषट्कस्था ये ग्रहास्तेऽप्यधोमुखाः। अपरस्थाश्च ये भानोरूर्ध्वास्यास्ते सुखप्रदाः॥१॥

When planets are posited in the first six signs counted from that of the Sun, they are said to be having the face downwards; while those situated in the other six are declared to be facing upwards and are productive of good.

english translation

AdityapUrvaSaTkasthA ye grahAste'pyadhomukhAH। aparasthAzca ye bhAnorUrdhvAsyAste sukhapradAH॥1॥
