उदयसुखकामदशमं केंन्द्रं तस्मात्परं फणपराख्यम्। आपोक्लिमं च परतस्तस्मात् त्रिविधास्तु राशयः कल्प्याः॥२८॥
There are three kinds of houses, Viz., (1) Kendra, (2) Phanapara and (3) Apoklima. The Ascendant, the fourth, the seventh and the tenth houses are called Kendras ; the 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th houses, are termed Phanaparas ; and the 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th houses, Apoklimas.
