ऐन्द्र्यां दिशिइन्द्रलिङ्गा मन्त्राः प्राग्दक्षिणे अग्निलिङ्गाश्च । वक्तव्या द्विजमुख्यैः पूज्यास्ते दक्षिणाभिश्च ॥ ६०-११ ॥
While the image is being bathed, the Brāhmaṇas shall chant the mantras sacred to Indra on the eastern side; and on the south-eastern side shall be chanted mantras sacred to Agni. The master shall pay the Brāhmaṇas well and show them due honours.

aindryAM diziindraliGgA mantrAH prAgdakSiNe agniliGgAzca । vaktavyA dvijamukhyaiH pUjyAste dakSiNAbhizca ॥ 60-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयो देवः संस्थाप्यस्तन्मन्त्रैश्चानलं द्विजो जुहुयात् । अग्निनिमित्तानि मया प्रोक्तानिइन्द्रध्वजौत्थाने ॥ ६०-१२ ॥
The Brāhmaṇas shall throw Ahūtis into the fire, chanting hymns sacred to the particular Deva whose image is before them. The indications, together with their interpretations, connected with the Homa have already been stated by me in the chapter on Indra Dhvaja.
english translation
yo devaH saMsthApyastanmantraizcAnalaM dvijo juhuyAt । agninimittAni mayA proktAniindradhvajautthAne ॥ 60-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधूमऽकुलो अपसव्यो मुहुर्मुहुर्विफुलिङ्गकृन्न शुभः । होतुः स्मृतिलोपो वा प्रसर्पणं चाशुभं प्रोक्तम् ॥ ६०-१३ ॥
If the flame should be attended with smokes and sparks, and if it should whirl from right to left, it indicates evil. If the officiating priest should be of forgetful memory or begin to quote a wrong portion of the Vedic text, it indicates evil.

dhUma'kulo apasavyo muhurmuhurviphuliGgakRnna zubhaH । hotuH smRtilopo vA prasarpaNaM cAzubhaM proktam ॥ 60-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्नातां अभुक्तवस्त्रां स्वलङ्कृतां पूजितां कुसुमगन्धैः । प्रतिमां स्वास्तीर्णायां शय्यायां स्थापकः कुर्यात् ॥ ६०-१४ ॥
After bathing the image, it shall be dressed in a new cloth and adorned with flowers and sandal and shall be laid by the master on a well-spread bed.
english translation
snAtAM abhuktavastrAM svalaGkRtAM pUjitAM kusumagandhaiH । pratimAM svAstIrNAyAM zayyAyAM sthApakaH kuryAt ॥ 60-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसुप्तां सगीतनृत्यैर्जागरणैः सम्यगेवं अधिवास्य । दैवज्ञसम्प्रदिष्टे काले संस्थापनं कुर्यात् ॥ ६०-१५ ॥
The night shall be spent by the side of the image in music and dance by persons that do not sleep, and the fixing ceremony shall be done at the hour mentioned by the astrologer.
