एता ह्यभेद्याश्च शिलाः शिवाश्च यक्षैश्च नागैश्च सदाअभिजुष्टाः । येषां च राष्ट्रेषु भवन्ति राज्णां तेषां अवृष्टिर्न भवेत्कदा चित् ॥ ५४-१११ ॥

Stones which cannot be broken and which conduce to prosperity, are dwelt in by the Yakṣas and the Nāgas at all times. Countries in which such stones are found will never suffer from drought.

english translation

etA hyabhedyAzca zilAH zivAzca yakSaizca nAgaizca sadAabhijuSTAH । yeSAM ca rASTreSu bhavanti rAjNAM teSAM avRSTirna bhavetkadA cit ॥ 54-111 ॥

भेदं यदा नैति शिला तदानीं पलाशकाष्ठैः सह तिन्दुकानाम् । प्रज्वालयित्वाअनलं अग्निवर्णा सुधाअम्बुसिक्ता प्रविदारं एति ॥ ५४-११२ ॥

If stones that cannot be broken be heated in the fire fed by the dry leaves and the wood of the Tinduka tree and then drenched in lime water, they can be easily broken.

english translation

bhedaM yadA naiti zilA tadAnIM palAzakASThaiH saha tindukAnAm । prajvAlayitvAanalaM agnivarNA sudhAambusiktA pravidAraM eti ॥ 54-112 ॥

तोयं श्रितं मोक्षकभस्मना वा यत्सप्तकृत्वः परिषेचनं तत् । कार्यं शरक्षारयुतं शिलायाः प्रस्फोटनं वह्निवितापितायाः ॥ ५४-११३ ॥

Or, mix the ashes of the Mokṣaka tree with water and heat the mixture, add to it the juice of reeds and drench the stones seven times with the preparation, then heat the stone it will become brittle.

english translation

toyaM zritaM mokSakabhasmanA vA yatsaptakRtvaH pariSecanaM tat । kAryaM zarakSArayutaM zilAyAH prasphoTanaM vahnivitApitAyAH ॥ 54-113 ॥

तक्रकाञ्जिकसुराः सकुलत्था योजितानि बदराणि च तस्मिन् । सप्तरात्रं उषितान्यभितप्तां दारयन्ति हि शिलां परिषेकैः ॥ ५४-११४ ॥

Or, mix together butter-milk, boiled rice water and liquor, and throw into the mixture a quantity of horse-gram and the fruit of the Badarī, keep the mixture for seven days and then drench the stone with it and heat it, it will become brittle.

takrakAJjikasurAH sakulatthA yojitAni badarANi ca tasmin । saptarAtraM uSitAnyabhitaptAM dArayanti hi zilAM pariSekaiH ॥ 54-114 ॥

नैम्बं पत्रं त्वक्च नालं तिलानां सापामार्गं तिन्दुकं स्याद्गुडूची । गोमूत्रेण स्रावितः क्षार एषां षट्कृत्वो अतस्तापितो भिद्यते अश्मा ॥ ५४-११५ ॥

Soak in the urine of the cow the leaves of the margosa as well as the sesamum plant, and the plants Apāmārga, Tinduka and Guḍūcī and obtain a decoction. After drenching the stone with it six times heat the stone, it will become brittle.

naimbaM patraM tvakca nAlaM tilAnAM sApAmArgaM tindukaM syAdguDUcI । gomUtreNa srAvitaH kSAra eSAM SaTkRtvo atastApito bhidyate azmA ॥ 54-115 ॥
