रूक्षैरल्पैर्मारुताक्षिप्तदेहैर् रुष्ट्रध्वाङ्क्षप्रेतशाखामृगऽभैः । अन्येषां वा निन्दितानां स्वरूपैर् मूकैश्चाब्दैर्नो शिवं नापि वृष्टिः ॥ २४-२१ ॥
If, on the other hand, the clouds should be of disagreeable appearance, of small size and dispersed by the wind or if they should be of the shape of the camel, the crow, dead bodies, the monkey and the like and if they should at the same time remain mute, there will be no rain and mankind will not be happy.
english translation
rUkSairalpairmArutAkSiptadehair ruSTradhvAGkSapretazAkhAmRga'bhaiH । anyeSAM vA ninditAnAM svarUpair mUkaizcAbdairno zivaM nApi vRSTiH ॥ 24-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविगतघने वा वियति विवस्वान् अमृदुमयूखः सलिलकृदेवम् । सर इव फुल्लं निशि कुमुदाढ्यं खं उडुविशुद्धं यदि च सुवृष्ट्यै ॥ २४-२२ ॥
If, on the Rohiṇī Yoga day, the sky should be clear and without clouds and the Sun exceedingly hot, there will be rain in the rainy season. If on the night of the Yoga day, the sky with its glittering stars should resemble a tank with its lilies, there will also be rain.

vigataghane vA viyati vivasvAn amRdumayUkhaH salilakRdevam । sara iva phullaM nizi kumudADhyaM khaM uDuvizuddhaM yadi ca suvRSTyai ॥ 24-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपूर्वोद्भूतैः सस्यनिष्पत्तिरब्दैर् आग्नेयाशासम्भवैरग्निकोपः । याम्ये सस्यं क्षीयते नैरृते अर्धं पश्चाज्जातैः शोभना वृष्टिरब्दैः ॥ २४-२३ ॥
If on the Rohiṇī Yoga day, clouds should first appear in the east, crops will thrive well. If they should appear in the southeast, destructive fires will afflict mankind; if in the south, the crops will suffer blight; if in the south-east, one half of the crops will suffer and if in the west, there will be good rain.

pUrvodbhUtaiH sasyaniSpattirabdair AgneyAzAsambhavairagnikopaH । yAmye sasyaM kSIyate nairRte ardhaM pazcAjjAtaiH zobhanA vRSTirabdaiH ॥ 24-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवायव्योत्थैर्वातवृष्टिः क्वचिच्च पुष्टा वृष्टिः सौम्यकाष्ठासमुत्थैः । श्रेष्ठं सस्यं स्थाणुदिक्सम्प्रवृद्धैर् वायुश्चएवं दिक्षु धत्ते फलानि ॥ २४-२४ ॥
If the clouds should appear in the north-west there will be rain in some places and such rain will be attended by the wind; if they should appear in the north, there will be good rain and if in the north-east, crops will thrive. The same effects are to be assigned to the wind blowing from the several quarters.

vAyavyotthairvAtavRSTiH kvacicca puSTA vRSTiH saumyakASThAsamutthaiH । zreSThaM sasyaM sthANudiksampravRddhair vAyuzcaevaM dikSu dhatte phalAni ॥ 24-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउल्कानिपातास्तडितो अशनिश्च दिग्दाहनिर्घातमहीप्रकम्पाः । नादा मृगाणां सपतत्रिणां च ग्राह्या यथएव अम्बुधरास्तथएव ॥ २४-२५ ॥
If on the Rohiṇī Yoga day there should be meteoric falls, lightning, thunder-bolts, mock-fires, cometary and other unusual appearances, or if there should be earthquakes or if the sounds of birds and animals should be hoarse and disagreeable there will be no rain and mankind will not be happy.

ulkAnipAtAstaDito azanizca digdAhanirghAtamahIprakampAH । nAdA mRgANAM sapatatriNAM ca grAhyA yathaeva ambudharAstathaeva ॥ 24-25 ॥
