Brihat Samhita
उल्कानिपातास्तडितो अशनिश्च दिग्दाहनिर्घातमहीप्रकम्पाः । नादा मृगाणां सपतत्रिणां च ग्राह्या यथएव अम्बुधरास्तथएव ॥ २४-२५ ॥
If on the Rohiṇī Yoga day there should be meteoric falls, lightning, thunder-bolts, mock-fires, cometary and other unusual appearances, or if there should be earthquakes or if the sounds of birds and animals should be hoarse and disagreeable there will be no rain and mankind will not be happy.

ulkAnipAtAstaDito azanizca digdAhanirghAtamahIprakampAH । nAdA mRgANAM sapatatriNAM ca grAhyA yathaeva ambudharAstathaeva ॥ 24-25 ॥
