कपिकच्छ्वाथवा तप्तैर्लोहतैलजलैः स्पृशेत् । कशाभिस्ताडयित्वा वा बद्धं श्वभ्रे विनिःक्षिपेत् ॥ ४९ ॥

He may be touched with kapikacchū (Mucuna pruriens, which causes severe itching) or with heated iron, oil, or water. He may also be whipped with lashes and thrown into a deep pit or ditch while bound.
