अवपीडाश्च विविधाः सर्षपाः स्नेहसंयुताः । कटुतैलेन चाभ्यङ्गो ध्मापयेच्चास्य तद्रजः ॥ ४१ ॥

Various kinds of avapīḍa (nasal drops prepared from expressed juice or paste of herbs) and sarṣapa (mustard seeds) combined with unctuous substances (fats) should be used. Massage (abhyanga) with kaṭu taila (mustard oil) should be administered, and its powder (mustard seed powder) should be insufflated (blown) into the nose.
