यक्ष्ममेहग्रहण्यर्शःपाण्डुत्वविषमज्वरान् । घ्नन्ति शोफं वमिं हिध्मां प्लीहानं वातशोणितम् ॥ १०२ ॥
dyspnoea, gala grahān – pain in the throat, consumption, diabetes, disease of the duodenum, heamorrhoids, anaemia, intermittent fevers, swelling, vomiting, hiccup, diseases of the spleen and goutget cured.

बिल्वार्धमात्रेण च पिप्पलीनां पात्रं प्रलिम्पेदयसो निशायाम् । प्रातः पिबेत्तत्सलिलाञ्जलिभ्यां वर्षं यथेष्टाशनपानचेष्टः ॥ १०३ ॥
(The paste of) Piper longum, half-bilva in quantity (two karsha – 24 grams) should be smeared to the interior of an iron vessel, which is filled with water and kept over-night. Next morning 320 ml of this water should be consumed. This should be continued for one year, the person indulging in foods and drinks of his liking.
