समङ्गा धातकीपुष्पं परमं व्रणरोपणम् । अपेतपूतिमांसानां मांसस्थानामरोहताम् ॥५३॥

samaṅgā – Rubia cordifolia and flowers of Woodfordia fruticosa are best for healing the ulcer. For ulcers located in the muscle tissue (māṃsasthānām) where the sloughed/putrefied muscle tissue has been completely cleared (apeta-pūti-māṃsānām) but which are still failing to heal or grow new tissue (arohatām),
