Medicated oil prepared with herbs of Bṛhatyādi (Hrasva Pañcamūla) and Jīvanīya Gaṇa (described in Chapter 15 of Sūtrasthāna) should be used for nasal medication (nāvanam); or for one month (māsaṃ), oil of Nimba (Azadirachta indica) should be used for Nāvana Nasya by a person who adheres strictly to a diet of milk (kṣīrabhuṅ / yatiḥ).
