आक्षिकं क्षिपेत्सुसूक्ष्मं रजः सेव्याम्बुपत्तङ्गगैरिकम् । चन्दनद्वयलोध्रपुण्ड्राह्वयष्ट्याह्वलाक्षाञ्जनद्वयम् ॥ ९१ ॥

a very fine powder (susūkṣma rajaḥ) in the measure of one akṣa (1 karṣa / 12 grams) each of: sevya – Vetiveria zizanioides, ambu – Pavonia odorata, pattaṅga – Caesalpinia sappan, gairika – red ochre, the two candana (Santalum album and Pterocarpus santalinus), lodhra – Symplocos racemosa, puṇḍrāhva – Nelumbo nucifera, yaṣṭyāhva – Glycyrrhiza glabra, lākṣā – Laccifer lacca, the two añjana (Sauvīrāñjana and Srotōñjana),

धातकीकट्फलद्विनिशात्रिफलाचतुर्जातजोङ्गकम् । मुस्तमञ्जिष्ठान्यग्रोधप्ररोहमांसीयवासकम् ॥ ९२ ॥

dhātakī – Woodfordia fruticosa, kaṭphala – Myrica nagi, the two niśā (Haridra – Curcuma longa and Daruharidra – Berberis aristata), triphalā (Haritaki, Vibhitaki, Amalaki), caturjāta (Twak, Ela, Patra, Nagakeshar), joṅgaka – Aquilaria agallocha / Argyreia speciosa, musta – Cyperus rotundus, mañjiṣṭhā – Rubia cordifolia, shoots (praroha) of nyagrodha – Ficus benghalensis, māṁsī – Nardostachys jatamansi, yavāsaka – Alhagi camelorum,

पद्मकैलासमङ्गाश्च शीते तस्मिंस्तथा पालिकां पृथक् । जातीपत्रिकां सजातिफलां सहलवङ्गकङ्कोल्लकाम्॥ ९३ ॥

padmaka – Prunus cerasoides, elā – Elettaria cardamomum, and samaṅgā – Rubia cordifolia should be added. After it cools down (śīte tasmin), powder in the measure of one palikā (1 pala / 48 grams) each of: jātīpatrikā – Myristica fragrans (mace), jātīphala – Myristica fragrans (nutmeg), lavaṅga – Syzygium aromaticum, kaṅkollaka – Piper cubeba,

स्फटिकशुभ्रसुरभिकर्पूरकुडवं च तत्रावपेत्ततः । कारयेद्गुटिकाः सदा चैता धार्या मुखे तद्गदापहाः॥ ९४ ॥

along with one kuḍava (192 grams) of karpūra – Cinnamomum camphora which is white as crystal (sphaṭika-śubhra) and of good fragrance (surabhi), should be mixed into it. From this mixture, pills (guṭikā) should be prepared. These should always be held in the mouth, as they cure all diseases of the mouth (tad-gadāpahāḥ).

क्वाथ्यौषधव्यत्यययोजनेन तैलं पचेत्कल्पनयानयैव । सर्वास्यरोगोद्धृतये तदाहुर्दन्तस्थिरत्वे त्विदमेव मुख्यम् ॥ ९५ ॥

By changing the herbs meant for decoction in the above formula to their opposite proportion (two tulā / 9.6 kg of bark of arimeda – Acacia farnesiana and one tulā / 4.8 kg of khadira-sāra – Acacia catechu, the other herbs and process remaining the same), medicated oil should be cooked. This is stated to cure all diseases of the mouth, and is considered the chief/foremost formulation to make the teeth firm (danta-sthiratve).
