श्रेष्ठाव्योषयवक्षारदार्वीद्वीपिरसाञ्जनैः । सपाठातेजिनीनिम्बैः शुक्तगोमूत्रसाधितैः ॥ ५६ ॥
Decoction of śreṣṭhā (Haritaki – Terminalia chebula, Vibhitaki – Terminalia bellerica, Amalaki – Emblica officinalis), vyoṣa (black pepper – Piper nigrum, long pepper – Piper longum, ginger – Zingiber officinale), yavakṣāra – alkali of Hordeum vulgare, dārvī – Berberis aristata, dvīpi – Plumbago zeylanica / Asparagus racemosus, rasāñjana – extract of Berberis aristata, along with pāṭhā – Cissampelos pareira, tejinī – Zanthoxylum alatum, and nimba – Azadirachta indica, prepared with śukta (fermented grain wash) and gomūtra (cow urine),

कवलो गुटिका वाऽत्र कल्पिता प्रतिसारणम् । निचुलं कटभी मुस्तं देवदारु महौषधम् ॥ ५७ ॥

अङ्गुलीशस्त्रकेणाशु पटुयुक्तनखेन वा । पञ्चमूलाम्बु कवलस्तैलं गण्डूषनावनम् ॥ ५९ ॥
quickly with the aṅgulī śastra (finger-knife) or with the fingernail smeared with salt; decoction of pañcamūla should be used for gargling (kavala), and oil (processed with pañcamūla) should be used for holding in the mouth (gaṇḍūṣa) and nasal medication (nāvana).

विस्राव्य पित्तसम्भूतां सिताक्षौद्रप्रियङ्गुभिः । घर्षेत्सलोध्रपत्तङ्गैः कवल: क्वथितैश्च तैः ॥ ६० ॥
In that born from Pitta (Pittaja Rohiṇī), blood should be let out; the site should be rubbed with the paste of sitā (sugar), honey, priyaṅgu – Callicarpa macrophylla, lodhra – Symplocos racemosa, and pattaṅga – Caesalpinia sappan; gargling (kavala) should be done with the decoction of these same herbs.
