Astanga Hrudaya
कल्कितं छागदुग्धेन सघृतैर्धूपितं यवैः । धात्रीपत्रैश्च पर्यायाद्वर्तिरत्राञ्जनं परम् ॥५०॥
and Lead sulphide made into a paste with goat’s milk is exposed to the fumes of Yava – Hordeum vulgare and leaves of Emblica officinalis mixed with ghee alternately and is made into wicks, applied as eye-salve is the best in this disease

kalkitaM chAgadugdhena saghRtairdhUpitaM yavaiH । dhAtrIpatraizca paryAyAdvartiratrAJjanaM param ॥50॥
