Astanga Hrudaya
विपरीतं यदन्नस्य गुणैः स्यादविरोधि च। अनुपानं समासेन, सर्वदा तत्प्रशस्यते॥५१॥
An ideal Anupana - An ideal Anupana ( after-drink) is that which has properties opposite of those of the foods but not incompatible with them; such an after- drink is always valuable.

viparItaM yadannasya guNaiH syAdavirodhi ca। anupAnaM samAsena, sarvadA tatprazasyate॥51॥
