शाखावातहरं साम्ललवणं जडताकरम् । पयोऽभिष्यन्दि गुर्वामं, युक्त्या शृतमतोऽन्यथा ॥२८॥
It destroys the Vata dosha of the branches (legs, arms, blood etc. metals and skin). It is somewhat sour and salty in taste and causes inertia (laziness and stupidity).
