ऋत्वोरन्त्यादिसप्ताहावृतुसन्धिरिति स्मृतः । तत्र पूर्वो विधिस्त्याज्यः सेवनीयोऽपरः क्रमात् ॥ असात्म्यजा हि रोगाः स्युः सहसा त्यागशीलनात् ।

दो ऋतु के जोड़ को ऋतुसन्धि कहते हैं। प्रथम ऋतु का अन्तिम सप्ताह और आने वाली ऋतु का प्रथम सप्ताह अर्थात् यह पन्द्रह दिन का समय ऋतुसन्धि है। इसमें क्रमश: पहले ऋतु की चर्या को छोड़ते हुए अगले ऋतु की चर्या का अभ्यास करना प्रारम्भ कर देना चाहिए। यदि आप पहली ऋतुचर्या को सहसा छोडकर दूसरी ऋतुचर्या को सहसा प्रारम्भ कर देंगे तो इस व्यतिक्रम से असात्म्यजनित रोग हो सकते हैं ।
