ऋत्वोरन्त्यादिसप्ताहावृतुसन्धिरिति स्मृतः । तत्र पूर्वो विधिस्त्याज्यः सेवनीयोऽपरः क्रमात् ॥५८॥

The junction of two seasons is called Ritusandhi. The last week of the first season and the first week of the next season, i.e. this period of fifteen days is Ritusandhi. In this, one should gradually abandon the routine of the first season and start practicing the routine of the next season.

english translation

दो ऋतु के जोड़ को ऋतुसन्धि कहते हैं। प्रथम ऋतु का अन्तिम सप्ताह और आने वाली ऋतु का प्रथम सप्ताह अर्थात् यह पन्द्रह दिन का समय ऋतुसन्धि है। इसमें क्रमश: पहले ऋतु की चर्या को छोड़ते हुए अगले ऋतु की चर्या का अभ्यास करना प्रारम्भ कर देना चाहिए
