प्रयोगः शमयेद्व्याधिमेकं योऽन्यमुदीरयेत्। नाऽसौ विशुद्धः शुद्धस्तु शमयेद्यो न कोपयेत्॥१६॥

sanskrit

That treatment which cures one disease and gives rise to another disease- sooner or later, is not Shuddha- pure/ good/appropriate; A pure treatment is that which cures one – diseases and does not give rise to another.

english translation

prayogaH zamayedvyAdhimekaM yo'nyamudIrayet। nA'sau vizuddhaH zuddhastu zamayedyo na kopayet॥16॥
