Astanga Hrudaya
प्रियः पिपीलिकादीनाम् अम्लः क्षालयते मुखम्। हर्षणो रोमदन्तानामक्षिभ्रुवनिकोचनः॥३॥
It is liked even by ants Amla (sour): Amla (sour) makes the mouth watery, causes horripilation, tingling of the teeth and leads to closing of the eyes and brows.
