बह्वौषधं च पित्तस्यविरेको हि वरौषधम् । अनुबन्धीकफोयश्चतत्रतस्यापिशुद्धिकृत् ॥ ९ ॥
Because of the availability of a large number of drugs, for mitigating Pitta, purgation is the best therapy, and it also clears (mitigates) Kapha, the associate Dosha.
