जीर्णतामविपर्यासात्सप्तरात्रं च लङ्घनात्। ज्वरः पञ्चविधः प्रोक्तो मलकालबलाबलात्॥५६॥

Nirama Jvara : Fever which has become old (due to lapse of time and so mild in nature), appearance of features opposite of (other than) those of Ama Jvara, (nascent fever), fever after lapse of seven days and that after fasting (by which the doshas will have been fuly cooked and returned to normal are the features of fever devoid of ama). Vishama Jvara – remittent fevers : Based on the strength or weakness of the malas (doshas) and time, fever is said to be five kinds.
