Astanga Hrudaya
पित्तं रक्तमपि क्षीणे कफादौ मूत्रसंश्रयम् । धातून् बस्तिमुपानीय तत्क्षयेऽपि च मारुतः ॥ ५ ॥
Pittaja and Vataja Prameha Samprapti (pathogenesis) : Kapha and its related Dhatus are decreased Imbalanced Pitta vitiates Rakta Dhatu and Kleda (moisture part) of the body, sweat, fat, plasma and musclegets lodged in residence of urine (urinary bladder) to cause Prameha of Pitta origin. Even Vata also causes Prameha,even Vata also causes Prameha, by dragging the Dhatus (watery tissues) into the bladder when they are depleted.
