दीप्तेऽग्नौ विधिरेष स्यान्मन्दे दीपनपाचनः । यक्ष्मोक्तः क्षतिनां शस्तो ग्राही शकृति तु द्रवे ॥ १२६ ॥

These treatments are meant for those who have strong digestion strength; for those who have weak digestion strength, therapies such as dipana (carminative) and Pacana (digestive) described in the treatment of yaksma (vide chapter 5 of Chikitsa sthana) are ideal; when the feces is in liquid state, it should be controlled by herbs which have quality of absorbing water.

दशमूलं स्वयङ्गुप्तां शङ्खपुष्पीं शठीं बलाम् । हस्तिपिप्पल्यपामार्गपिप्पलीमूलचित्रकान् ॥ १२७ ॥

To prepare this esteemed rejuvenative confection, take two Pala (96 grams) each of the following ingredients: the Dashamula (group of ten traditional roots), Mucuna pruriens (Swayamgupta), Convolvulus pluricaulis (Shankhapushpi), Curcuma zedoaria (Shathi), Sida cordifolia (Bala), Scindapsus officinalis (Hastipippali), Achyranthes aspera (Apamarga), the roots of Piper longum (Pippalimula), and Plumbago zeylanica (Chitraka).

भार्गीं पुष्करमूलं च द्विपलांशं यवाढकम् । हरीतकीशतं चैकं जलपञ्चाढके पचेत् ॥ १२८ ॥

Include two Pala (96 grams) each of Clerodendrum phlomidis (Bhargi) and Inula racemosa (Pushkaramula). Combine these with one Adhaka (3.072 kg) of Hordeum vulgare (Yava) and exactly one hundred whole fruits of Terminalia chebula (Haritaki). Boil the entire mixture together in five Adhakas (approx. 15.36 liters)* of clean water.

यवस्वेदे कषायं तं पूतं तच्चाभयाशतम् । पचेद्गुडतुलां दत्त्वा कुडवं च पृथग्घृतात् ॥ १२९ ॥

Boil until the grains of barley ($Yava$) are perfectly steam-cooked and softened, then filter the liquid decoction. Separate the one hundred softened Haritaki fruits from the pulp. Place this filtered decoction and the hundred Haritaki fruits back into a cooking vessel, add one Tula (4.8 kg) of pure jaggery, and one Kudava (192 ml/g) each of cow's ghee and sesame oil. Cook the mixture down thoroughly.

तैलात्सपिप्पलीचूर्णात्सिद्धशीते च माक्षिकात् । लेहं द्वे चाभये नित्यमतः खादेद्रसायनात् ॥ १३० ॥

During the cooking process, one Kudava (192 grams) of fine Piper longum (Pippali) powder is blended into the mass. Once the confection is fully prepared and has completely cooled down, mix in one Kudava (192 ml) of pure honey. From this potent rejuvenative paste, a person should consume two cooked Haritaki fruits along with an appropriate portion of the jam daily.
