यदि वा कश्चिन् मुख्यः सामन्त आदीनाम् अन्यतमः कोपं भजेत तं "एहि, राजानं त्वा करिष्यामि" इत्य् आवाहयित्वा घातयेत् ॥
Or if a chief among the neighbouring kings seems to give trouble, the minister may invite him, saying "come here and I shall make thee king," and then put him to death.
युव राजे वा क्रमेण राज्य भारम् आरोप्य राज व्यसनं ख्यापयेत् ॥
Or having gradually placed the burden of administration on the shoulders of the heir-apparent, the minister may announce the death of the king to the public.
पर भूमौ राज व्यसने मित्रेण अमित्र व्यञ्जनेन शत्रोः संधिम् अवस्थाप्य अपगच्छेत् ॥
In case of the king's demise in an enemy's land, the minister, having brought about an agreement between the enemy and a friend pretending to be an enemy of the dead king, may withdraw himself.
