तेषां पुनर्व्यापदोऽदृष्टकारिताः, शीतोष्णवातवर्षाणि खलु विपरीतान्योषधीर्व्यापादयन्त्यपश्च ॥१६॥
Among these, plants that are not affected by seasonal changes but are affected by cold, heat, wind, and rain will cause problems. Thus, medicinal plants that are opposed to the qualities of the season will bring about ailments.

Sometimes, even in regions where the medicinal plants are not effective, due to factors like curses from rituals, wrath, or non-compliance with ethical practices, the land can suffer from specific ailments. If poisonous herbs, fragrant flowers, or the influence of atmospheric conditions affect the area, it may lead to diseases such as cough, asthma, fever, or other ailments. Additionally, the effects can be exacerbated by celestial influences, or defects related to household or personal items like residences, vehicles, and valuables.

In such cases, one should adopt measures like abandoning the affected area, performing rituals for peace and atonement, engaging in auspicious recitations, homa (fire sacrifices), and offerings. Additionally, performing worship, giving alms, following spiritual practices, and seeking guidance from deities, Brahmins, and spiritual teachers are also advised. This approach is considered proper and beneficial.
