तत्त्वनेकौषधिरसप्रसादं प्राणदं गुरु । मधुरं पिच्छिलं शीतं स्निग्धं श्लक्ष्णं सरं मृदु । सर्वप्राणभृतां तस्मात् सात्म्यं क्षीरमिहोच्यते ॥४८॥
Milk is considered the essence of all medicines, giving vitality, and is heavy, sweet, slimy, cool, unctuous, smooth, and soft. Therefore, it is called the ultimate nourishment for all living beings.
