Sushruta Samhita
भवति चात्र- जग्धाः षडधिगच्छन्ति बलिनो वश्यतां रसाः । यथा प्रकुपिता दोषा वशं यान्ति बलीयसः ॥१३॥
The six tastes that are consumed and absorbed lead to the enhancement of strength and control. Just as the aggravated doshas are brought under control by a strong influence, so too do these tastes enhance strength and dominion.
