पाको नास्ति विना वीर्याद्वीर्यं नास्ति विना रसात् | रसो नास्ति विना द्रव्याद्द्रव्यं श्रेष्ठतमं स्मृतम् ||१५||

There is no transformation without potency, and there is no potency without taste. Taste does not exist without substance, and substance is considered the best among all.

english translation

विपाक बिना वीर्य का नहीं होता, और वीर्य बिना रस का नहीं होता। रस बिना द्रव्य का नहीं होता, और द्रव्य को सर्वोत्तम माना जाता है।
