भवतश्चात्र । शुचिर्गुरुपरो दक्षस्तन्द्रानिद्राविवर्जितः । पठन्नेतेन विधिना शिष्यः शास्त्रान्तमाप्नुयात् ॥५५॥

O dear one, the disciple who is pure, attentive, and free from sloth, and who studies under a competent teacher, following this method, will attain mastery over the scriptures.

english translation

bhavatazcAtra । zucirguruparo dakSastandrAnidrAvivarjitaH । paThannetena vidhinA ziSyaH zAstrAntamApnuyAt ॥55॥
