प्रमृज्याद्वा धुनीयाद्वा करौ पृष्ठं शिरस्तथा । हस्तं चाकृष्य वैद्यस्य न्यसेच्छिरसि चोरसि ॥५१॥

"One should wipe or wash the hands, back, and head, and also grasp the physician's hand, and place it on the head or in the bosom."

english translation

"हाथ, पीठ, और सिर को पोंछना या धोना चाहिए, और वैद्य के हाथ को पकड़कर सिर या छाती पर रखना चाहिए।"

यो वैद्यमुन्मुखः पश्यन्नुन्मार्ष्टि स्वाङ्गमातुरः । न स सिध्यति वैद्यो वा गृहे यस्य न पूज्यते ॥५२॥

"One who is afflicted and sees the physician but keeps touching his own body, that physician does not succeed, nor does the physician whose house is not honored."

english translation

"जो रोगी वैद्य को देखता है लेकिन अपने शरीर को छूता रहता है, वह वैद्य सफल नहीं होता, न ही वह वैद्य सफल होता है जिसका घर सम्मानित नहीं होता।"

भवने पूज्यते वाऽपि यस्य वैद्यः स सिध्यति । शुभं शुभेषु दूतादिष्वशुभं ह्यशुभेषु च ॥५३॥

"The physician whose house is honored will succeed. Good things are achieved with auspicious messengers, while inauspicious things are achieved with inauspicious ones."

english translation

"जिस वैद्य के घर का सम्मान किया जाता है, वह सफल होता है। शुभ वस्तुएं शुभ दूतों से प्राप्त होती हैं, जबकि अशुभ वस्तुएं अशुभ दूतों से प्राप्त होती हैं।"

आतुरस्य ध्रुवं तस्माद्दूतादीन् लक्षयेद्भिषक् । स्वप्नानतः प्रवक्ष्यामि मरणाय शुभाय च ॥५४॥

"Therefore, the physician should observe the messengers and others carefully. I will explain the signs from dreams related to death and auspicious events."

english translation

"इसलिए, वैद्य को दूतों और अन्य लोगों को ध्यानपूर्वक देखना चाहिए। मैं मृत्यु और शुभ घटनाओं से संबंधित स्वप्नों के संकेतों को बताऊँगा।"

सुहृदो यांश्च पश्यन्ति व्याधितो वा स्वयं तथा । स्नेहाभ्यक्तशरीरस्तु करभव्यालगर्दभैः ॥५५॥

"Friends who see the person suffering from disease or those who are themselves afflicted, if they have bodies marked with affection, are to be observed with care. Such people might be characterized by the presence of tigers, jackals, or donkeys."

english translation

"जो मित्र रोग से पीड़ित व्यक्ति को देखते हैं या जो स्वयं ही पीड़ित होते हैं, यदि उनके शरीर पर स्नेह के लक्षण हैं, तो उन्हें सावधानीपूर्वक देखना चाहिए। ऐसे लोग बाघों, गीदड़ या गधों द्वारा चिह्नित हो सकते हैं।"
