वराहैर्महिषैर्वाऽपि यो यायाद्दक्षिणामुखः । रक्ताम्बरधरा कृष्णा हसन्ती मुक्तमूर्धजा ॥५६॥

"One who moves towards the south while accompanied by boars or buffaloes, and is wearing red clothes, with a black complexion and a laughing face, having a free and unbound head, is to be observed with attention."

english translation

"जो व्यक्ति दक्षिण की ओर जाते समय जंगली सुअरों या भैंसों के साथ हो, और लाल वस्त्र धारण किए हुए हो, काला वर्ण और हंसते हुए चेहरे के साथ, तथा सिर पर कोई बंधन न हो, उसे ध्यानपूर्वक देखा जाना चाहिए।"

यं चाकर्षति बद्ध्वा स्त्री नृत्यन्ती दक्षिणामुखम् । अन्तावसायिभिर्यो वाऽऽकृष्यते दक्षिणामुखः ॥५७॥

"One who is being attracted or pulled by a woman dancing and facing south, or one who is drawn towards the south by those who are intent on ending a matter, should be observed carefully."

english translation

"जो व्यक्ति एक दक्षिणमुखी नृत्य करती स्त्री द्वारा आकर्षित या खींचा जाता है, या जो दक्षिण की ओर खींचा जाता है उन लोगों द्वारा जो किसी काम को समाप्त करने में लगे होते हैं, उसे ध्यानपूर्वक देखा जाना चाहिए।"

परिष्वजेरन् यं वाऽपि प्रेताः प्रव्रजिता(न)स्तथा । मुहुराघ्रायते यस्तु श्वापदैर्विकृताननैः ॥५८॥

"One who is embraced by spirits or ghosts that have departed, or who is repeatedly sniffed by dogs with distorted faces, should be carefully observed."

english translation

"जो व्यक्ति मृतात्माओं या भूत-प्रेतों द्वारा गले लगाया जाता है, या जो बार-बार विकृत चेहरों वाले कुत्तों द्वारा सूंघा जाता है, उसे सावधानीपूर्वक देखा जाना चाहिए।"

पिबेन्मधु च तैलं च यो वा पङ्केऽवसीदति । पङ्कप्रदिग्धगात्रो वा प्रनृत्येत् प्रहसेत्तथा ॥५९॥

"One who drinks honey or oil, or who remains in mud, or whose body is smeared with mud, or who dances or mocks—such a person should be observed carefully."

english translation

"जो व्यक्ति मधु या तेल पीता है, या कीचड़ में रहता है, या जिसका शरीर कीचड़ से सना होता है, या जो नृत्य करता है या हंसता है—ऐसे व्यक्ति को सावधानीपूर्वक देखा जाना चाहिए।"

निरम्बरश्च यो रक्तां धारयेच्छिरसा स्रजम् । यस्य वंशो नलो वाऽपि तालो वोरसि जायते ॥६०॥

"One who continually wears a red garland on the head, or whose family is of the Nāla or Tāla type, is also considered to be inauspicious."

english translation

"जो व्यक्ति निरंतर सिर पर लाल माला पहनता है, या जिसकी जाति नल या ताला प्रकार की है, वह भी अशुभ माना जाता है।"
