फलाग्निजलवृष्टीनां पुष्पधूमाम्बुदा यथा । ख्यापयन्ति भविष्यत्त्वं तथा रिष्टानि पञ्चताम् ॥३॥
Just as flowers, smoke, and clouds foretell the arrival of fruit, fire, and rain respectively, in a similar way, certain fatal symptoms (Arishtas) indicate the future outcome of an ulcer.

जैसे फूल, धुआं और बादल क्रमशः फल, आग और बारिश के आगमन की भविष्यवाणी करते हैं, उसी प्रकार, कुछ जीवन के लिए खतरे वाले लक्षण (अरिष्ट) अल्सर के भविष्य को सूचित करते हैं।
