श्लोकौ चात्र भवतः- रञ्जितास्तेजसा त्वापः शरीरस्थेन देहिनाम् | अव्यापन्नाः प्रसन्नेन रक्तमित्यभिधीयते ||५||

sanskrit

And the verses here are as follows: "The bodily fluids of living beings, when imbued with the inherent heat (Tejas) in the body, become tinged with color. When these fluids remain untainted and clear, they are called Rakta (blood)."

english translation

शरीर में स्थित तेज़ द्वारा रंगे हुए जल तत्व, जब शरीर में रहते हुए अव्याप्त और स्पष्ट होते हैं, तो उन्हें "रक्त" कहा जाता है।
