Now, we shall explain the marma points of the back. The marma located on both sides of the spinal column in the lumbar region, near the hip bone, is called "Katitaruna." Injury here can lead to death due to blood depletion, causing paleness and deformity. The marma called "Kukundara" is located on both sides of the spine, in the outer parts of the hips. Injury here causes loss of sensation in the lower body and impairment of movement. The "Nitamba" marma is located above the hip bones, on both sides of the sacrum. Injury here can cause lower body atrophy and weakness, leading to death. The "Parshvasandhi" marma is located at the sides of the body, below the ribs. Injury here causes death due to accumulation of blood in the abdominal cavity. The "Brihati" marma is located on both sides of the spinal column, starting from the root of the breasts. Injury here can cause death due to excessive blood flow and related complications. The "Amsaphalaka" marma, located on both sides of the spine, connected to the shoulder blades, causes numbness and atrophy of the arms when injured. Finally, the "Amsa" marma, located between the neck and the upper arms, causes stiffness of the arms when injured. Thus, we have described fourteen marma points related to the back.

Now, we shall explain the marma points located above the clavicle. There are four arteries in the throat on both sides: two are blue (neela) and two are known as "manye," positioned alternately. Injury here causes muteness, voice disorders, and loss of taste. There are also four veins called "matrika" on both sides of the neck, and injury to them results in immediate death. The "Krikatika" marma is located at the junction of the head and neck, and injury here causes instability of the head. The "Vidhura" marma, located behind and below the ear, causes deafness when injured. The "Phana" marma, located inside and near the nostrils, leads to loss of the sense of smell if damaged. The "Apanga" marma, located on both sides below the outer corners of the eyes, leads to blindness or damage to vision. The "Avarta" marma, located above the eyebrows in the depressions, also causes blindness or damage to vision when injured. The "Shankha" marma, located between the temples and ears, results in immediate death when injured. Above the "Shankha" marma, at the hairline, are two points called "Utksepa." A person can survive if the splinter is removed from here, but if left untreated or if the splinter remains embedded, the wound will fester. The "Sthapani" marma, located between the eyebrows, has effects similar to "Utksepa." The five seams in the head, called "Simanta," when injured, cause insanity, fear, and loss of consciousness, leading to death. The "Shringataka" marma points, located in the junction of veins that nourish the nose, ears, eyes, and tongue, result in immediate death when injured. Inside the head, above the hairline, is the "Romavarta" marma, which also causes immediate death when injured. Thus, thirty-seven marma points located above the clavicle have been explained.
