तत्र शुक्रबाहुल्यात् पुमान्, आर्तवबाहुल्यात् स्त्री, साम्यादुभयोर्नपुंसकमिति ॥५॥
When there is a predominance of semen, a male is conceived; when there is a predominance of menstrual fluid, a female is conceived; and when there is an equal contribution of both, a hermaphrodite is conceived.
english translation
जहां शुक्र की अधिकता होती है, वहां पुत्र उत्पन्न होता है; जहां ऋतु रक्त की अधिकता होती है, वहां पुत्री उत्पन्न होती है; और जहां दोनों का साम्य होता है, वहां नपुंसक संतान उत्पन्न होती है।
