Sushruta Samhita
अरिष्टामपि मन्त्रैश्च बध्नीयान्मन्त्रकोविदः । सा तु रज्ज्वादिभिर्बद्धा विषप्रतिकरी मता ॥८॥
One well-versed in mantras should tie a protective amulet (arishṭa) over the bite site, invoking specific mantras. When bound with strings or other materials, this amulet is believed to act as an antidote to the poison.
english translation
मंत्रों में पारंगत व्यक्ति को काटे गए स्थान पर एक सुरक्षात्मक ताबीज (अरिष्ट) बांधना चाहिए, जिसमें विशिष्ट मंत्रों का उच्चारण किया जाता है। माना जाता है कि जब इसे धागे या अन्य सामग्रियों से बांधा जाता है, तो यह ताबीज जहर के लिए मारक के रूप में कार्य करता है।
