अथ मण्डलिना दष्टं न कथञ्चन दाहयेत् । स पित्तबाहुल्यविषाद्दंशो दाहाद्विसर्पते ॥७॥
Now, in the case of a bite from a snake with a circular mark, it should not be cauterized under any circumstances. Due to the poison being dominated by the pitta (heat element), the bite will spread further if cauterized.

अब, अगर सांप ने गोल निशान वाला कोई सांप काट लिया है, तो उसे किसी भी हालत में नहीं जलाना चाहिए। क्योंकि जहर में पित्त (गर्मी तत्व) की प्रधानता होती है, इसलिए अगर उसे जलाया जाए तो काटा हुआ हिस्सा और फैल जाएगा।
