sanskrit

The verse suggests that once the flags or banners (possibly symbolic of rituals or treatments) are treated, they become effective in swiftly neutralizing the effects of poison. It describes the efficacy of certain medicinal substances, such as lac (लाक्षा), harenu (a type of medicinal herb), nalada (a plant), and priyangu (another herb), which are known for their potent properties in treating venom. The quickness of action is also emphasized, particularly with substances like shigrudvaya (likely referring to a specific plant) and yastikapṛthvikā (which may refer to a particular root or herb used in remedies). These ingredients, when used properly, are believed to immediately counteract the harmful effects of poison.
