Sushruta Samhita
कुर्यात् काकपदाकारं व्रणमेवं स्रवन्ति ताः । सरक्तं चर्म मांसं वा निक्षिपेच्चास्य मूर्धनि ॥४५॥
The physician should create a wound in the shape of a crow's foot, and allow the blood to flow from it. He should also apply the blood, skin, or flesh to the patient's head.

चिकित्सक को कौवे के पैर के आकार का घाव बनाना चाहिए और उसमें से खून बहने देना चाहिए। उसे खून, त्वचा या मांस को रोगी के सिर पर भी लगाना चाहिए।
