ताडयेच्च सिराः क्षिप्रं तस्य शाखाललाटजाः । तास्वप्रसिच्यमानासु मूर्ध्नि शस्त्रेण शस्त्रवित् ॥४४॥
If the veins are struck, the physician should quickly apply to them the sharp-edged instruments to the head, after sprinkling them with medicine, especially those veins on the forehead and the branches of the skull.
english translation
यदि शिराओं पर चोट लग जाए, तो चिकित्सक को उन पर औषधि छिड़कने के बाद तुरन्त सिर पर तेज धार वाले औजार से प्रहार करना चाहिए, विशेषकर माथे की शिराओं और खोपड़ी की शाखाओं पर।
