राज्यः सलोहिता यत्र नीलाः पीताः सितास्तथा । विज्ञेयं रदितं तत्तु ज्ञेयमल्पविषं च तत् ॥१७॥
Where the marks are red, blue, yellow, or white, it is understood that the bite is a result of a snake. If it produces a rattling sound, it is known to be a mild poison.

जहां निशान लाल, नीला, पीला या सफेद हो तो समझ लें कि सांप ने काटा है। यदि यह खड़खड़ाहट की आवाज उत्पन्न करता है, तो यह हल्का जहर माना जाता है।
