जिह्वानिर्लेखकवलौ दन्तकाष्ठवदादिशेत् । पिच्छिलो बहुलोऽभ्यङ्गो विवर्णो वा विषान्वितः ॥५१॥
The tongue should be treated with a marking paste, similar to the treatment for the teeth and the bones, with an oily and abundant application of ointment. It may also be treated if it is discolored or contaminated with poison.
