Now, we shall discuss the preparation of bhallātaka. The mature bhallātakas, which are uninjured, should be taken and cut into two, three, or four pieces. They are then cooked with a decoction. The resulting decoction, when warmed, should be applied to the palate, tongue, and lips in the morning. In the afternoon, a mixture of milk and ghee should be consumed. Thus, each should be incremented until five is reached; then five should be increased until seventy is achieved. Upon reaching seventy, it should be reduced back to five. This should be repeated five times for each until it returns to one. By using this regimen of bhallātaka, a person who is afflicted with all kinds of skin diseases and hemorrhoids will be freed from them and will become robust and live for a hundred years.
