स नवो बृंहणो वृष्यः पुराणस्त्वपकर्षणः । तैक्ष्ण्यौष्ण्यात्कफवातघ्नः सरत्वान्मलपित्तनुत् ॥४१॥
It is new, nourishing, aphrodisiac, ancient, and depleting. Due to its sharpness and heat, it alleviates kapha and vata, and it is beneficial for vitality and helps eliminate impurities.
