विशेषतस्तु प्रायोगिकं घ्राणेनाददीत, स्नैहिकं मुखनासाभ्यां, नासिकया वैरेचनिकं, मुखेनैवेतरौ ॥९॥
Specifically, the practical smoke should be inhaled through the nose, the oily smoke through both the mouth and nostrils, and the purgative smoke should be taken through the nostrils alone, while the other two can be taken through the mouth.
