स्नेहेऽवसिच्यमाने तु शिरो नैव प्रकम्पयेत् । न कुप्येन्न प्रभाषेच्च न क्षुयान्न हसेत्तथा ॥२६॥
When the head is bathed in oil, it should not tremble. It should not be disturbed, nor should it feel excessive heat or laugh in that state.

जब सिर को तेल से नहलाया जाए तो उसे कांपना नहीं चाहिए। उसे परेशान नहीं करना चाहिए, न ही उस अवस्था में अत्यधिक गर्मी महसूस करनी चाहिए या हंसना चाहिए।

The standard measurement consists of eight drops, derived from the region of the two peaks: the first measure is one drop, the second is the essence of the oyster, and the third is the essence of the palm. These three measures should be used according to individual capacity.

Just as the shringataka (a type of herb) emerges from the mouth after being submerged, the medicated oil should not be swallowed out of fear of causing phlegm disturbances, and should instead be expelled as prescribed.
