अतिस्थूले कर्कशे च नेत्रेऽस्त्रिमति घर्षणात् । गुदे भवेत् क्षतं रुक् च साधनं तस्य पूर्ववत् ॥६॥
If the pipe is excessively thick and rough, it causes friction, resulting in a wound and pain in the rectum, which should be treated in the same manner as previously described.

If the Karnika (the nozzle) is broken or too close to the eye of the pipe, it causes an obstruction in the Vasti (enema), hence one should avoid such defects in the pipe.

यदि कर्णिका (नोजल) टूटी हुई हो या पाइप की आँख के बहुत पास हो, तो इससे वस्ति (एनिमा) में रुकावट पैदा होती है, इसलिए पाइप में ऐसे दोषों से बचना चाहिए।

hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रकृष्टकर्णिके रक्तं गुदमर्मप्रपीडनात् । क्षरत्यत्रापि पित्तघ्नो विधिर्बस्तिश्च पिच्छिलः ॥८॥
If the Karnika (nozzle) is well-formed and causes bleeding by pressing on the Guda-marma (the vital point at the anus), a Pitta-subduing remedy should be administered, and the Vasti (enema) should be of a Picchila (slimy) nature.

यदि कर्णिका (नोजल) अच्छी तरह से बना हुआ है और गुदा-मर्म (गुदा में महत्वपूर्ण बिंदु) पर दबाव डालने से रक्तस्राव होता है, तो पित्त-वशीकरण औषधि दी जानी चाहिए, और वस्ति (एनीमा) पिच्छिला (चिपचिपा) प्रकृति का होना चाहिए।

If the pipe is short and thin, it causes distress, and the Vasti (enema) should be administered as before. If it causes retraction, then it should be remedied, leading to the alleviation of disorders resulting from the misapplication of the Vasti.

यदि नली छोटी और पतली हो तो कष्ट होता है, तथा वस्ति (एनीमा) पहले की तरह ही देना चाहिए। यदि इससे पीछे हटने की समस्या होती है तो उसका उपचार करना चाहिए, जिससे वस्ति के गलत प्रयोग से होने वाले विकारों का निवारण हो सके।

In the case of a long and wide pipe, it is to be understood that it will cause excessive pressure. If the Vasti is applied broadly and heavily, it will produce symptoms akin to those of a defective binding.
