बस्तावल्पेऽल्पता वाऽपि द्रव्यस्याल्पा गुणा मताः । दुर्बद्धे चाणुभिन्ने च विज्ञेयं भिन्ननेत्रवत् ॥११॥
If the quantity of the fluid used in the Vasti is small, or if its qualities are inferior, or if there is a defective binding or a cracked pipe, it should be understood that these conditions are similar to a broken pipe.

If the Vasti is excessively pressed, it can enter the stomach (Amashaya) and then escape through the nostrils or mouth due to the action of Vayu.

In such a case, one should promptly apply pressure to the throat and also shake the body, and administer sharp (strong) and cooling applications to the head and body.

ऐसी स्थिति में, व्यक्ति को तुरन्त गले पर दबाव डालना चाहिए, शरीर को हिलाना चाहिए तथा सिर और शरीर पर तेज (मजबूत) और ठंडक देने वाली पट्टियाँ देनी चाहिए।

शनैः प्रपीडितो बस्तिः पक्वाधानं न गच्छति । न च सम्पादयत्यर्थं तस्माद्युक्तं प्रपीडयेत् ॥१४॥
If the Vasti is pressed gently, it does not reach the Pakvashaya (large intestine) nor does it accomplish its intended purpose; therefore, it should be pressed firmly.

यदि वस्ति को धीरे से दबाया जाए तो वह पाक्षया (बड़ी आंत) तक नहीं पहुंचती और न ही अपना इच्छित उद्देश्य पूरा कर पाती है; इसलिए उसे दृढ़ता से दबाना चाहिए।

भूयो भूयोऽवपीडेन वायुरन्तः प्रपीड्यते । तेनाध्मानं रुजश्चोग्रा यथास्वं तत्र बस्तयः ॥१५॥
If the Vasti is pressed repeatedly, the Vayu (wind) inside gets agitated, leading to severe distension and pain in the abdomen, as experienced in such cases of Vasti application.
